For seven years, Barbara was the interface of the Estate Committee with the residents and staff, carrying on her work with a warm, friendly and personable touch, where no task was too big or difficult to tackle. She has instituted and established many of the procedures and practices we now take for granted that help the estate to run so smoothly. She has overseen the work of the four member grounds staff, enhanced the estate's equipment and vehicle resources and somehow managed the rather complex maintenance fee billing, parking permits, supplier payments and dealing with the Council.
I know that I speak for the Estate Committee when I say that we will miss her knowledge and experience. We will miss her day-to-day contact with the residents. We will miss her ability to get things done. We will miss her management of the staff and the maintenance of the estate. And, most of all we will miss her.
